Lock Stock: (No Meme Stonks Allowed)
Are you searching for a stock that doesn’t feel like a lottery ticket? J has been all over Nvidia, and unlike L, puts his money where his mouth is. $NVDA is up more than 50% for the year and that’s saying something because the stock currently trades right around $800/share.
This week was rougher than most for the technology company, however. Nvidia fell just short of its record eighth straight week of gains as it dipped slightly on the crypto and market crash. Nvidia is an artificial intelligence company that designs GPUs (graphics processing units) for gaming, data centers, and crypto along with chips for mobile computing and automotives. AKA, it's well-positioned to take advantage of trends we’re seeing across the globe. People will play video games, mine cryptocurrency, use mobile phones, and drive or eventually be driven by self-driving cars…
There’s a real argument that this could be a Fortune 50 (the 50 most valuable companies in the world -- Currently 184) stock in the near future. So this temporary dip could be a significant buying opportunity. The company learned from a similar crypto crash in 2018 and further diversified its business model. Plain and simple, crypto is just a cherry on top of their core business that sits at a $500B market cap. But, and this is a big BUT, the company is still trading at the high-end of the range. In May, the stock traded at $550, now it trades at $801. Too expensive for your taste? Buy fractional shares on Robinhood. Not YET a sponsor. Just a great product.
L’s Bet: Long-term buy...End of Year 2022 Price = $1550/share
J’s Bet: I’ve been gobbling up Nvidia like edibles since 2018 when it was trading at $224. Bet your ass that if it dips below $800 between now and the upcoming July 20 stock split I will Pac-man another couple thousand worth because you don’t lose betting on the f*cking modern-day Skynet
Get Hyped: (Meme Stock Mania)
Maybe lottery tixs are your thing. HypeEquity, which monitors social sentiment -- aka Apes on Reddit -- has been very bullish on Virgin Galactic stock all week. This interest in $SPCE is happening before Richard Branson’s space flight on Sunday. The stock is currently sitting around $50/share after trading around $15/share in mid-May. Personally, I’m nervous about it and so are investors. The stock took a nearly 7% dip on Friday.
L’s Bet: Stay away. The risk is too high with experimental technology
J’s Bet: BUT...if you're feeling REALLY frisky and morbid this could also be a high-risk opportunity to short the Galactic stock if Branson goes up in flames. Either way, it will be a must-watch Sunday
WTF? (New Meme STONKS)
You’d be forgiven if you hadn’t heard of the company Newegg ($NEGG) before this week. The stock soared 42% on Tuesday and 148% on Wednesday before crashing to earth on Thursday with a -32% fall and slightly rising on Friday with a 2% gain. The craziest part of Newegg is that its market cap was $10 Million in June and $20 Billion, with a B, on Wednesday. That’s a 2000% increase in less than 6 weeks! Regardless, the electronics retailer, which mostly sells computer hardware and parts, has some serious “MEMEntum.” Believe it or not, this movement was originally caused by Newegg selling Nvidia’s rare graphics cards as well.
L’s Bet: Stock is cheap enough to take a risk. Buy but look to sell quickly
J’s Bet: Take your YOLO funds and buy more Nvidia :)

Tiger King Coin? Before this week J & L hadn’t heard of it either. Tiger King coin came to prominence this week when YouTuber and Dogecoin investor Matt Wallace suddenly got out of $DOGE and into $TKING. Joe Exotic himself thanked the YouTuber from prison in a crazy video. $TKING trades at only a fraction of a penny and could be a repeat of Dogecoin. It’s set up as a rival to Carole Baskin’s $CAT coin. What a world we live in...
L’s Bet: I’m too much of a p*ssy but $10k could make you a millionaire
J’s Bet: SMH. May buy a few because Tiger King LOLz got us through the pandemic
DA HEDGE: (Make a sports bet you Coward)
Fire up your illegal streams. The most interesting man in MMA, the Notorious Conor McGregor, is back after what feels like 10 consecutive losses. McGregor is the main event Saturday night at UFC 264 and will face Dustin Poirier in the Octagon in a lightweight bout. Poirier last knocked out McGregor in UFC 257 avenging his initial loss to McGregor in UFC 178 all the way back in 2014. This fight is the tie-breaker. I like the Irishman in a comeback. He’s due.
L’s Bet: McGregor in under 2.5 rounds. The fight will NOT go the distance.

Stream this Sh*t: (What to Watch)
I’m not a Marvel guy...saw one Avengers on a date in 2012 where I wasn’t paying attention at all. “Black Widow”, aka Scarlett Johansson’s franchise, comes out this weekend in theaters and on Disney+ (via Premier access). Personally, I’m much more of a “Dave” on FX guy. Even critics are saying the show about Lil Dicky the Rapper, which started as a dick joke, is now “must-see TV.”
FOMO: (Where to Travel)
I get it. You’re over Covid and definitely not interested in the Delta variant. Covid is canceled and people are “vaxxed and waxxed” in NYC. Seriously, the bars are insane right now. Here’s your public service announcement: Get a vaccine. It’s patriotic in the same way serving your country in WWII was patriotic. It will help us to end this faster. All that being said, I know you can’t wait to travel. Here are 8 dream destinations.
